From Ideas to Impact: Driving Economic Growth Through Innovation
The Problem
The initiative “Job Partnerships and SME Promotion in Morocco” (SI Jobs Morocco) aimed to boost private sector engagement by German and European companies in Morocco to foster sustainable economic growth and job creation. The dynamic nature of investment landscapes and evolving customer needs necessitated a fresh approach. Traditional project management methods struggled to keep pace with these changes, leading to a disconnect between the services offered and the actual needs of investors. The goal was to create a responsive, innovative service offering through a series of agile workshops.
Our Solution
Kien Advisors GmbH was invited to design and conduct two agile strategy and planning workshops in Rabat, Morocco. Each workshop spanned three days and utilized agile methodologies such as Scrum and Design Thinking. Our approach was interactive, leveraging tools like flip-charts, Post-its, and group work to facilitate co-creation and iterative problem-solving.
The workshops were structured around understanding customer needs, developing innovative service concepts, and creating prototypes. We engaged participants through experiential learning and situational coaching, enabling them to generate actionable insights and tangible solutions.
Our Impact
The workshops resulted in several key outcomes:
A shared vision for future service offerings, co-created by all participants.
An in-depth analysis of the current state, identifying critical intervention points.
Over 200 innovative ideas generated, leading to the development of 3-4 concrete service concepts for German and European investors.
Prototypes of these concepts were tested with target users, incorporating feedback to refine and validate the services.
A strategic roadmap for implementing the new service offerings was formulated, ensuring they are attractive, feasible, and marketable.
By fostering a culture of agility and co-creation, the SI Jobs Morocco initiative now has a suite of innovative, customer-centric services poised to attract investments and reduce unemployment among young men in Morocco. Kien Advisors continues to support the initiative with ongoing evaluations and adjustments to maintain alignment with evolving market needs.
In a hyper connected world meaningful relationships make the difference.
